# Goal Areas

Goal areas are used to group company goals, for example, Finance, Customers, etc.

Follow these steps to set up goal areas:

1. Go to **Settings > Settings and Configuration > Performance**.
2. Click **Goals** in the left panel and click **Edit** next to the **Goal Areas** setting name on the **Basic** tab. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/c315c68d-2799-4fcc-9a39-084315b58f14/Images/Documentation/img472(4).png)
3. The **Business Areas** list will open in spreadsheet view where you can directly edit the information you need. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/c315c68d-2799-4fcc-9a39-084315b58f14/Images/Documentation/img473(2).png)
4. Enter the goal area name into the **Title** column and a short description of the area into the **Description** column.
