# Installation Prerequisites

Prior to [installing](/v1/docs/deploy-lanteria-hr) Lanteria HR, ensure that the following requirements are met:

- SharePoint Server Subscription Edition is installed on the target server
- The target server does not have an already deployed Lanteria HR solution
- A [web application](/v1/docs/creating-web-application) with a [site collection](/v1/docs/creating-site-collection) is created (either new or existing)
- You have remote access to the SharePoint frontend server (RDP) as a user with the following permissions:
  - Included in the Local Administrators group
  - Included in the Farm Administrators group
  - Have the dbo permissions for the site collection Content database
  - Have the dbo permissions for the farm Configuration database
  - Added as a site collection administrator to the target site collection

SharePoint version supportedPlease note that Lanteria supports other SharePoint versions such as SharePoint 2013, SharePoint 2016, and SharePoint 2019.  
However, those versions of SharePoint are not supported by Microsoft, as they have reached the end of their lifecycle.
