Open the card of the employee whose certificate you want to view. 2. On the employee card, on the **Learning** tab, click **Certificates**.![](https://cdn.document360.io/c315c68d-2799-4fcc-9a39-084315b58f14/Images/Documentation/img176(4).png) Currently uploaded or generated certificates are displayed in the window that opens. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/c315c68d-2799-4fcc-9a39-084315b58f14/Images/Documentation/image-1788180872519.png) The Certificates window also shows **Missing Certificates** and **Expired Certificates** counts for the employee, with matching **Mandatory Certificates** and **Expired Certificates** tables further down the page: - **Mandatory Certificates** lists the certificates required for the employee's job role or assigned to them personally (see [Set up Required Certificates](https://help.lanteria.com/docs/set-up-required-certificates-1)). A certificate that hasn't been issued yet is shown in red, with **Missing** in the **Issued** column; since there's no certificate document for it yet, only its certificate type name appears in the **Title** column, and **Type** is left blank. - **Expired Certificates** lists certificates whose **Expiration Date** has already passed. For issued certificates in either table, **Title** shows the certificate document's name and **Type** shows its assigned certificate type — a separate value from the document title. It's normal for both columns to display the same text if a certificate type happens to be named the same as the certificate itself. ### To upload a certificate for an employee *Note**Certificates can also be* [*uploaded*](/v1/docs/upload-certificate) *from the **Certificates** window where you also can see for which employees a certificate was uploaded.* 1.
