The general rule is that the employee goals are based on the organizational unit goals, which in their turn are based on the company goals. This ensures that the whole organization is moving in the same direction. However, you can create goals that are not aligned with your organizational unit goals.
To work with goals, go to My Performance > My Goals. Alternatively, go to My Details > My Details > Performance tab > Goals.
The page shows the company goals relevant for your organizational unit, your organizational unit goals and your personal goals. You can select to view only active goals (click Show Active) or all goals, including the goals that have already been completed (click Show All).
The total score % (percentage of completion for all goals) and total weight % (total relative importance of all goals) are shown only when you view active goals.
The goals can be qualitative and quantitative. The quantitative goals are goals for which the results can be measured in the quantitative values, for example, “increase the number of new customers by 10%”. Goals for which the results cannot be measured by quantities are called qualitative, for example, “implement a new HR system”.
