Notifications and Reminders can be accessed through Settings > Settings and Configuration > General.
Notifications are sent as a result of some event or action, for example, to let the employee know that his/her absence request is approved or to inform a person that an interview requiring his/her participation has been scheduled. Reminders are sent at a certain previously set point in time before or after an event that is itself attached to a specific date, for example, a birthday reminder or a reminder about expiring documents.
The settings include:
- Reminders Active - Select this check box to activate reminders. By default, the check box is selected.
- Notifications Active - Select this check box to activate notifications. By default, the box is cleared.
- Email signature - Use this field to create a signature that will be used in notification letters
- Email Template - Use this field to set up a template for notifications and reminders. This template may contain such elements as the email notification frame, organization name, signature and other universal text that would be common for various types of notifications. Fill in this setting with HTML code of the email template or customize the default one. Note that {0} will be automatically replaced with an email title, which will be taken from the corresponding workflow or notification, and {1} will be replaced with the email body, also taken from the corresponding workflow or notification. Other elements can be customized to suit your business needs. Here is an example of a notification email that uses the default email template:
- Notification Settings
- Notifications Sent from Code
- Reminder Rules
- Appointment Templates
