Lanteria HR system can use several levels of hierarchy in the company's organizational structure. To do this, a separate organizational unit type (also referred to as org unit type) for each level should be created. For example, teams (level 3) can be united into groups (level 2) that in turn can be parts of large divisions (level 1). You can create as many levels of hierarchy as you need.
Follow these steps to create org unit types:
- Go to Settings > Settings and Configuration > Core HR.
- Click Org Structure in the left panel and click Edit next to the Org Unit Types setting name on the Advanced tab.
- The Org Unit Types list will open in spreadsheet view where you can directly edit the information you need.
- Another way of editing the unit type properties is to either click on the unit type name or select Edit Item from the list item menu.
This will open the unit type details form in the edit view where you can make all the necessary modifications.- Organizational Unit Type field holds the unit type name.
- Level field defines the unit level in the company hierarchy.
- No Direct Employees check box is used if this unit type is created for grouping purposes only and is not supposed to have direct employees. Select this check box to prevent the system from assigning employees to organizational units of this type.
- Manager Title field defines the title of the manager's position for this unit type.
- Click Save to create a new unit type or cave the changes to the existing one.
